Ta Keo
Today’s name of the temple mountain Ta Keo means “old crystal” and therefore the temple can also be described as “crystal temple”.
Ta Keo was dedicated the Hindu God Shiva, but a short time before its construction was completed, had been abandoned. There are different versions about why the temple has never been completed.
Except for the lower layers, the temple mountain is probably the first to be built entirely of sandstone.
