Banteay Srey
Banteay Srey is situated about 30 km to the north of Siem Reap and means ‘Citadel of the Women’ or ‘Citadel of Beauty’, which explains why it is seen as the jewel in the crown of the Angkorian art by many visitors. Because of the many filigree ornaments Banteay Srey justifiably can be regarded as one of the most skilfully temples of the Angkorian era.
