Angkor Wat for sure is the biggest and most popular temple and was built for King Suriyavarman II in the 12th century. No other temple nowadays symbolizes modern Cambodia as much as Angkor Wat as it appears on the country’s national Flag or banknotes- and is regarded as the prime tourist attraction.
